One of Ben Sill’s intergeneric hybrids. It is a cultivar of Billbergia ‘Lil Red’ x Aechmea recurvata. Similar in shape to the Aechmea recurvata with stiff pointed leaves and a slightly bulbous base. Color is a mahogany red with cream spots. Grows to 8 inches tall. Grow in bright filtered light.
