This species could be a form of Deuterocohnia lorentziana but we are not sure. It was collected in Northwestern Argentina by Ruby Ryde of Australia some years back and we never were able to get a positive identification. It is large for one of the former Abromeitiella to which this plant was once assigned before being sunk into Deuterocohnia. Little rosettes to almost four inches across with stiff, thick leaves, green with silver trichomes, marginal spines and a needle sharp, long needle spine at the leaf tip. It forms clusters as with the rest of its kin. At anthesis it produces green, sessile flowers.
