An extra nice small species from the restinga of Brazil. Forms an upright rosette 12 inches or so with arching leaves, dark green above and burgundy below. Great for terrariums until they bloom, which is a simple sword-like spike of light red that rises to about 18 inches. A very attractive and easy to grow species.
