A blast from the past! This is one of the most spectacularly colored Aechmeas. A stunningly variegated form of this lovely wine-red, glossy-leaved plant. The variegation is cream colored and suffused with pinks and reds. The pendant inflorescence bears large red fruits and stays in color for some weeks.

This is the famed Australian clone, a sturdy plant with upright growth to 24 inches or so, somewhat stoloniferous but easily grows in a 5 or 6 inch pot, taking minimal bench space. Grows well in deep shade to bright light.
